I was asked to make flyers for courses and services by the K.W.E.T.B. Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board. These included the A.B.E. Adult Basic Education, Guidance services, V.T.O.S.  Vocational Training Oppertunities Scheme and B.T.E.I. Back To Education Initiative. The original flyers were using a horrible template and poorly made. I had to keep a lot of the information but design everything from the ground up.I decided to make a layout language which could be familiar between the flyers but each course would have their own identity. This meant the flyers would feel refreshing and easily recognizable. I wanted to avoid a wall of needless text or having them look the same when someone is looking at a wall of flyers for courses. All flyers were created by me using Adobe products. The photos are stock. all other images have been created by me using either adobe illustrator or photoshop.
Below is the first open day flyer I made for the Blessington Further Education & training centre. Each course has its own icon and laid out in an easy to understand format. The graphics was created using Adobe Illustrator.
Below is a poster I made for the Guidance services. It is a double exposure that goes along with a new slogan "guiding you down a new path" that I created for the entrance of the centre's
This is the second double exposure I created for the KWETB. The concept was someone who has travel and enjoys travel. I got the idea from the expression "he has a face like the map of the world". This along with the guidance flyer/poster were hanging up on the wall near the Blessington Further Education Centre's entrance, hence they both use the double exposure technique to grab people attention while doubling up as flyers.
The Blessington Further Education Centre also provides a creche. I was asked to make up a poster which appealed to the parents that the kids would also like. What was there were older photos that were in colour but just very grey. The main idea behind it was to show who the centre is and is funded by and make it warm and inviting so the parents might check us out online as they wait for their kids.
Flyer I created using images from actual money. Seemed only logical for a manage your money course.
This is the first style of flyers I made for the Kildare and Wicklows ABE (Adult Basic Education). It was made as a template which they could update.
Below is a flyer I made for people who have poor to no English. I decided to make a storyboard style graphic to explain the idea of the course. The course has been running successfully several times using the flyer with many students saying the flyer grabbed the attention and they were able to understand that it was aimed at teaching them English, which is the best compliment I could receive.
On the left below is a flyer and poster that was used for the Blessington Further Education Centre's function room. The room gets booked out during the week and bring in addition revenue for the centre. They needed a sign so the people who rent the room and the attendees would leave the space as they found it.

Below on the right is a flyer for a CV Preparation and Interviews Skills course. Both flyers and posters below were made in Adobe Illustrator.
Below on the right is a Christmas flyer I made for the KWETB to give students. each colour is made from large sheets of water colour paper that were coloured using paint and pastels. the colours were then cut into the required shapes. The outlines were made in Adobe Illustrator.

On the left is the second type of gardening course flyer I made for the Kildare and Wicklow Education & training board and ABE  (Adult Basic Education).
Thanks for checking out my work. Don't forget to give it a like if you enjoyed it.
